Celebrating Malaysia’s 60th Independence in Artistic Manner

Forty five (45) staff and students from ALFA College had participated in Patriotic Palm Print Mural Painting 2017 a day before Merdeka Day at Jalan Genting Klang to celebrate Malaysia’s 60th Independence in an artistic manner.

In the event, ALFA’s staff and students had their palm coloured in red, yellow, or blue and their palm were printed on a 600 metres long wall together with other 30,000 participants. This meaningful event has started since 8th August and will end on 9th September. The organizer is targeting to collect 60,000 palm prints and this record will be included in The Malaysia Book of Records.

During the event, they were received by Datuk Yew Teong Look, the Organising Chairman cum Chairman of MCA Federal Territory. His kind gesture warmed the heart of the students and staff.

Some of the participants commented this event is a creative way to show their patriotism to the nation and they enjoyed it very much. All the participants also received a certificate of participation with their personal palm print on it.
